MUALLİM NÂCİ’NİN SÂNİHÂTÜ’L-‘ARAB ADLI ESERİNDEKİ DARBIMESELLERE TEMATİK YAKLAŞIM

Muallim Nâci, Tanzimat döneminin önemli şair ve yazarlarından birisi olarak bilinir. Nâci, din, lügat, edebiyat, tarih, belagat ve eğitim ile ilgili eserler kaleme alan velut bir müelliftir. Nâci’nin öne çıkan özelliklerinden biri de dilciliğidir. Nâci’nin dilciliğinin en önemli göstergelerinden birisi düşünceleriyle Türk Dil Kurumunun kurulmasına ilham veren kişiler arasında yer almasıdır. Ayrıca Muallim’in, Lûgat-ı Nâci ve Kamûs-ı Osmânî gibi eserlerini telif ederek sözlük nitelikli çalışmalarda bulunması, dilciliğine delil teşkil eden bir diğer husustur. Yazarın öne çıkan meziyetlerinden biri de Arap dili ve edebiyatındaki yetkinliğidir. Nitekim Muallim’in eserleri konu, tema ve dil bakımından Arap dili ve edebiyatına dair çok sayıda hususu içerir. Yazarın Arap dilinde yetkinliğini gösteren çalışmalarından birisi de Sânihâtü’l-‘Arab adlı eseridir. Nâci, burada milletlerin fikir ve tecrübelerinin özü olarak ifade ettiği üç yüze yakın darbımeseli farklı edebî tahkiyelerle ele alır. O, sözü edilen darbımeselleri belirli bir sistematik içerisinde işler. Bu çalışmanın konusunu Muallim Nâci’nin Sânihâtü’l-‘Arab adlı eserinde ele aldığı darbımeseller oluşturur. Metin analizi yöntemi kullanılarak söz konusu darbımesellerde öne çıkan temalar ele alınmaktadır. Buna göre çalışmada ilim, cehalet, doğruluk, erdem, din ve zulüm gibi temaların öne çıktığı görülmektedir.

Muallim Nâci is known as one of the most prominent poets of the Tanzimat period. He was a prolific author writing on religion, language, literature and education. One of the outstanding features of Nâci’s work is his mastery of language. His linguistic skills were instrumental in inspiring the establishment of the Turkish Language Association. In addition, his works such as “Lûgat-ı Nâci” and “Kamûs-ı Osmânî” in the form of dictionaries serve as evidence of his linguistic contributions. One of the most remarkable aspects of Nâci’s linguistic skills is his mastery of Arabic language and literature. Indeed, his works encompass many aspects of Arabic language and literature in terms of subject matter, themes and language. In addition, Nâci’s dictionary like works are often inspired by Arabic dictionaries. These aspects not only underscore the value he places on the Arabic language in his literary endeavours but also highlight his profound knowledge of the Arabic language and lexicography. One of the works that demonstrates Nâci’s mastery of the Arabic language is his book entitled “Sânihâtü'l-'Arab”. In this book, he explores nearly three hundred proverbial expressions that represent the essence of the thoughts and experiences of nations through various literary analyses. He systematically examines these proverbs within a certain framework. Therefore, the focus of the study is on the proverbs discussed in Muallim Nâci’s “Sânihâtü'l-'Arab”. Using the method of textual analysis, the study delves into the prominent themes evident in these proverbial expressions, including knowledge, ignorance, truthfulness, virtue, religion and oppression.
