OSMANLI DEVLETİ'NDE TARİH YAZICILIĞI VE OSMANLI TARİH YAZARLARININ GÖZÜYLE HRİSTİYAN ÂLEMİ, ss. 275-286

Bu çalışmada, Osmanlı Devleti'ndeki tarih yazıcılığını ve Osmanlı tarih yazarlarının Hristiyan dünyasına bakış açısını ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın giriş kısmında tarih ve tarih yazıcılığından bahsedilmiş ve daha sonra Osmanlı Devleti'nde tarih kitabının yazılmasının nedenleri incelenmiştir. Ana bölümde ise tarih yazarlarının eserlerinden alıntılar yaparak Hristiyan dünyaya bakış açıları ortaya koymaya çalışılmıştır. Düşmanın İslam topraklarına saldırması durumu veya merkezî otorite için tehlike oluşturmaları hâli, gayrimüslim bir ülkedeki Müslümanlara ve hatta yerli halka bile zulüm yapılması, İslam'ın getirmiş olduğu kesin yasakların inkâr edilmesi, isyan çıkması, antlaşmaların bozulması vb. gibi durumlar Osmanlı tarih yazarlarının bakış açısını oluşturmuştur. Yazılan eserlerden çıkarılabilecek sonuçlardan bir diğeri de Osmanlıların cihat yaparken aynı zamanda Türk kültürünü de yaymak istemeleridir. Buna en önemli delil olarak, "devşirme sistemi"ni gösterebiliriz. Osmanlılar bu sistem sayesinde hem ihtiyaçları olan askerleri temin ediyor hem Hristiyan toplumları İslamlaştırıyor hem de Türk kültür ve medeniyetinin sınırlarını genişletiyorlardı. Osmanlı Devleti'nin, izlenen fetih politikası ve adaletli devlet yönetimi sayesinde inkişafını hızla devam ettirdiği, Osmanlı tarih yazarlarının ortak görüşleridir.

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the historiography of the Ottoman Empire and the point of view of the Ottoman history writers of the Christian world. In the introduction part of the study, history and history writing were dealt with and then the reasons of writing history books in Ottoman Empire were examined. In the main section, it is tried to reveal the points of view of the Christian world by quoting from the works of history writers. The attacks of the rival countries to the Islamic lands or the danger posed by the central authority, the persecution of Muslims and even the indigenous people in non-Muslim countries, denial of the bans brought by Islam, the rebellions, the breakdowns of the treaties and such situations formed the perspectives of the Ottoman history writers. One of the results that can be drawn from the written works is that the Ottomans wanted to spread Turkish culture while doing jihad. As the most important evidence of this, we can give the "devşirme system". Thanks to this system, the Ottomans met their needs for soldiers, by, at the same time, Islamizing the Christian societies and expanding the boundaries of Turkish culture and civilization. It is the common opinion of the Ottoman history writers that Ottomans continued their development rapidly thanks to this policy of conquest and their fair government.
