18th Century Poet Tului And His Nazire To The Terkib-Bend Of Ruhi Of Baghdad, pp. 1-23

The starting point of this article is a manuscript registered in Istanbul University Rare Books Library. This manuscript, which is recorded in the library catalog in two sections with the titles of Divan and Mecmua-i Eş'âr and whose author is stated to be İbrahim Tulûî, one of the XVI century poets, is actually the work of another Tulûî, who is understood to be a XVIII century poet. In this manuscript, which has the appearance of a draft of a divan with the scribbles and corrections on it, there are personal records about the poet, a section consisting of poems of different poets and a nazire written by the poet on the terkîb-bend of Rûhî of Baghdad, in addition to the ghazals belonging to Tulûî, which constitutes the majority. In order to introduce an unknown XVIII century poet and his work and to add a new one to the nazires written in Rûhî's poetry, the data obtained from his work about Tulûî's life and literary personality were listed in this article, and his nazire was examined and published in terms of form and content. In the evaluations made on the basis of his poems in general and the terkîb-bend in particular, it was emphasized that Tulûî was a poet who tried to find his own style and that the terkîb-bend was at the level of “a nazire written in the footsteps of a master poet”, and the article was completed by giving digital images of the relevant nazire in the appendix.

Bu makalenin çıkış noktası, İstanbul Üniversitesi Nadir Eserler Kütüphanesinde kayıtlı bir yazma eserdir. Kütüphane kataloğunda, Divan ve Mecmua-i Eş’âr başlıklarıyla iki bölüm olarak kaydedilen ve müellifinin XVI. yüzyıl şairlerinden İbrahim Tulûî olduğu belirtilen bu yazma, aslında XVIII. yüzyıl şairi olduğu anlaşılan başka bir Tulûî’nin eseridir. Üzerindeki karalamalar ve düzeltmelerle müellif hattı bir divan taslağı / müsveddesi görünümündeki bu eserde çoğunluğu oluşturan Tulûî’ye ait gazeller yanında şairle ilgili kişisel kayıtlar, farklı şairlerin şiirlerinden oluşan mecmua niteliğinde bir bölüm ve şairin Bağdatlı Rûhî’nin terkîb-bendine yazdığı bir naziresi mevcuttur. Hem bilinmeyen bir XVIII. yüzyıl şairini ve eserini tanıtmak hem de Rûhî’nin şiirine yazılmış nazirelere bir yenisini daha eklemek amacıyla bu makalede Tulûî’nin hayatı ve edebî kişiliği hakkında eserinden elde edilen veriler sıralanmış, naziresi şekil ve muhteva yönüyle incelenerek yayımlanmıştır. Genelde şiirlerinden ve özelde terkîb-bendinden hareketle yapılan değerlendirmelerde Tulûî’nin kendi üslubunu bulma çabasındaki bir şair olduğu, terkîb-bendinin de “usta şair izinde yazılmış bir nazire” seviyesinde olduğu sonucu vurgulanmış, ekinde ilgili nazirenin dijital görüntüleri verilerek makale tamamlanmıştır.
