DERVİŞ MEHMED BAHTȊ’NİN MANZUM TERCEME-İ ŞİR’ATÜ’L-İSLÂM’I, ss. 39-54

Peygamber’in sünnetine uymakla başlayıp hasta haklarına, hasta ziyareti adabına dair olan fasılla tamamlandığı tespit edilmiştir. Eserin ikisi yurt içinde, biri yurt dışındaki kütüphanelerde olmak üzere üç nüshasının olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Yapılan inceleme sonucunda yurt dışından temin edilen nüshanın müellif hatlı nüsha olduğu görülüp çalışma buna göre şekillendirilmiştir. Terceme-i Şir‘atü’l-İslâm’ın dil, şekil ve muhteva açısından incelendiği yazıda, anılan eserin dinȋ, tasavvufi, ahlaki bir mesnevi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Derviş Mehmed Bahtî’s Poetic Şir’atü’l-Islam Translation, pp. 39-54

In this study, which we have done about Terceme-i Şir‘atü’l-İslam, which is a verse translation of the book of catechism and etiquette called Şir‘atü’l-İslâm ilâ Dâri’s-Selâm, which was loved and translated by the Ottoman ulema, countless we tried to give information about the place of the work in the world of literature and Islam. In our study, which we have done according to the translation and analysis methods of Classical Turkish Literature, the work has been prepared in forty-eight chapters by subjecting it to the same classification as the source book, Şir‘atü’l-İslâm ilâ Dâri’s-Selâm, and that these chapters are prepared Hz. Muhammed. We have determined that it starts with following the Sunnah of the Prophet and ends with the chapter on patient rights and procedures for patient visits. We have witnessed that there are three copies of the work, one of which is a lithograph and the other is a handwritten copy, and two of the copies are in domestic libraries and one is in libraries abroad. As aresult of the examination, we saw that the copy we brought from abroa was a darft of the auther’s line and we shaped our work accordingly. In our study, which included the analysis of Terceme-i Şir‘atü’l-İslâm in terms of language, form and content, we came to the conclusion that the work is a religious, sufistic, moral mesnevi.
